How to confirm the device information of your Deye inverter?

Before proceeding, please ensure the following prerequisites:
- Your Deye inverter has been added to the SunLit Solar App.
- The device is functioning normally and is online in the app.
If you have not yet completed the network configuration, please install the SunLit Solar App and follow the instructions to complete the network configuration. App download link: https://www.sunlitsolar.de/download-app
Open the SunLit Solar App and go to the “Device” tab, then click the “View Details” button on your corresponding Deye inverter.
Select "Settings" on the same page.
You may now find all the relevant information of your device on this page.
Description of the WiFi module firmware version
1. How to distinguish between encrypted and non-encrypted WiFi module firmware versions?
WiFi module firmware versions containing “SSL” or “S” are encrypted firmware.
2. What should I do if my WiFi module firmware version is not encrypted?
To request a firmware version change, please send an email to service@deye.com.cn. A sample email may be found below:
WiFi module firmware version Switch Request
Email Body:Serial number: fillin your own device serial number, e.g. 3917893853
Please switch the firmware version to: MW3_16U_5406_1.6.3 or MW3 16U 5406 2.33-E3
Device location: Your device location, e.g. Munich
After sending the email, please ensure that your device remains online. The support team will complete the firmware switch within 1-3 business days and will notify you via email.
Please avoid sending duplicate emails. If you have already submitted a request, kindly await processing.
Security Notice: WiFi Module Firmware Update
- Due to Deye firmware limitations, the WiFi module does not support encrypted (TLS) communication. This may pose a minor security risk if there is unusual activity on the same network.
- Deye is aware of this limitation. For most home users, this will not affect normal use. Please refrain from changing the firmware unless necessary.
